Jacqueline Del Fierro Avila is a post-doctoral intern and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, her Master of Arts in General Counseling at Webster University, and a second Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Walden University. She recently completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Walden University. Dr. Avila has over 10 years’ experience working with a diverse population, helping individuals face a wide range of concerns, to include depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, loss, and life transition challenges.
Dr. Avila is highly trained in the utilization of multiple treatment approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Dr. Avila is passionate about advocacy, social change and bringing empowerment and healing to her clients. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering in youth-based organizations such as the YMCA, Roy Maas Youth Alternatives, and Catholic Youth Organizations. Dr. Avila is located at our San Antonio, Texas office.
